Installing Oracle Express (XE) 11.2.0

You might run into a problem while installing the Oracle Express on Windows 7 Professional stating that KEY_XE.reg is not available.

Here is the workaround for the above problem

• As soon as you click on setup.exe it will come up to a start page
• Now go to a folder C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\TEMP and search for a folder where the Oracler installer has expanded the files
• You will find a file MTS*.reg in that folder.
• Copy that file as KEY_XE.reg
• Now go ahead with your installation
